MAKE UP FOR EVER is looking for a Boutique Manager. Based in the Paramus, NJ and reporting to the National Sales Manager. This person will manage and provide leadership to the MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutique staff. As the leader of the store, the Boutique Manager will have the responsibility of managing sales, operations, loss prevention, and recruitment and employee retention.


  • Responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the Boutique.
  • Serve as a role model and leader to their Tribe and must be able to solve problems, make informed decisions, manage the workforce and their time wisely in order to achieve maximum results. 


  • Achieves MAKE UP FOR EVER sales plans and operating profits while staying within operating expense budgets
  • Strategically drive sales/KPIs through development of quarterly business plan with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Monitors and analyzes daily, weekly and monthly sales trends and results then reacts appropriately
  • Manages Resident Makeup Artist activity to ensure all productivity standards are met by establishing strong teamwork and achievement of sales goals.
  • Recruits and retains top talent in the Boutique
  • Negotiates and executes special events in partnership with the MAKE UP FOR EVER Corporate team.
  • Drives Make Up School services and application business. 


  • Ensures that consistent brand communication and product information is being provided to all MAKE UP FOR EVER customers.
  • Periodically reviews and coordinates in-store trainings for all Resident Make Up Artists with a focus on MAKE UP FOR EVER education, product knowledge and artistry techniques. 
  • Conducts in the moment coaching and monitors sales and service levels of all MAKE UP FOR EVER staff
  • Develops and conducts appraisals of Make Up Artists’ performance by evaluating selling skills and productivity on a quarterly basis 


  • Oversees presentation, cleanliness and organization of the Boutique, including drawers, back-stock and product assortment
  • Ensures that MAKE UP FOR EVER’s merchandising standards are maintained at all times.
  • Adheres to and oversees compliance of Company policies and standards.
  • Oversees the replenishment process, inventory control and communicates stock level issues with appropriate cross-functional partners.
  • Conducts regular store meetings to discuss performance, sales training, product knowledge, visual merchandising and other necessary information to staff
  • Oversees the scheduling of staff and ensures compliance with payroll budgets
  • Coordinates with PR and Pro teams to maintain industry relationships with local TV, film and stage productions, makeup schools and agencies, and other industry businesses
  • Develops and communicates calendar of local industry events, trade shows, and professional networking opportunities
  • Builds & maintains retail corporate clientele program
  • Additional duties assigned based on ongoing needs of business
  • Maintains a strong line of communication with MAKE UP FOR EVER Corporate Management


  • College Degree preferred
  • 3 + years of retail store management, preferably in a cosmetics product setting, in a free-standing store
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Availability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store
  • Ability to maintain presence on selling floor for long periods as needed
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise up to 50 lbs. as well as, fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and climbing ladders
  • Willingness to adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards
  • Availability to travel, as needed
