    MAKE UP FOR EVER is looking for a Visual Merchandising Intern based in New York Office and reporting to the Manager, Visual Merchandising. This person be prepared to work hands-on in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and will finish the internship having gained beauty industry experience in various aspects of Visual Merchandising and Event planning.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the management and planning of Remodels and store opening within Wholesale accounts- includes project planning, building planograms, providing instore direction (via computer generated drawings), creating and maintaining a budget, managing the fixture ordering and shipping process, oversea the production of graphic elements.
    • Aid in the creation of directives for wholesale pro retailer accounts- building schematics for different assortments
    • Assist in building and managing the 2019 planning calendar and graphic tracker for updates in the military channel
    • Assist in the planning, sourcing, and production of the Academy Graduation
    • Support tradeshow planning- create floorplans, source materials and fixtures, and develop schematics
    • Organize all preseries/products relating to each channel
    • Assist in forecast orders for fixtures and product from the warehouse
    • Aid with competitive patterning via store visits
    • Maintain New York Corporate Office mock POSM and Gondola Fixtures
    • Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks

    Qualifications

    • A multi-tasker, who proactively seeks out opportunities to support the team with a can-do & follow-through attitude
    • Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and ‘multi-tasking’ environment
    • Superb attention to detail and meticulousness in execution to all projects
    • Hands-on, practical problem solving and ability to complete tasks within set timeframes
    • Ability to proactively present and escalate ideas, suggestions and problems to ensure continuous improvement
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to lift 25lbs and not be afraid to get dirty
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Creative Suite and 3D a plus
    • Able to work September ‘18 into early January ‘19 covering the fall & early winter semesters.
    • Must be enrolled in an Associate’s/Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
    • Visual Major a plus
    • Instore Visual Merchandising Experience a plus
    • Able to read a floorplan and have technical/interior design background a plus
